Changes to bat regulations for AAA players

Nov. 05, 2019

Given many of our Chiefs from 2019 are doing winter baseball and many may be looking to buy new bats for 2020, we wanted to get this information out to you as soon as possible.

The attached resolution was passed at the Baseball Manitoba Semi-Annual General Meeting on Sunday.  To quote Mike Anderson from WABA:  With unanimous consent another resolution was introduced to ALLOW (not require) the use of certain metal bats again at 15U AAA and all competitive levels of 18U.   The only allowable bats will be certified as either BBcor -3 or USA 1.15 -3.  Details on eligible bats will be forthcoming very soon from Baseball Manitoba.  Wood bats remain an option at these age divisions.  NO changes were made for bat requirements at any other age or tiering levels.
